Itinerary

Welcome to Sri Lanka, an island nation located in the Indian Ocean known for its spectacular beaches, thousand-year-old Buddhist temples, abundance of wildlife, and rich archaeological history. 

After arrival at Bandara Nayaka Airport meet with your Sri Lankan representative and proceed to Kandy. 

Enroute visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, one of the most important tourist attraction in Sri Lanka. - Volunteers and caretakers provide shelter and take care of orphaned, abandoned and injured elephants within the park. You can watch caretakers feed, bathe and help these gentle giants. You can walk with the herd to the nearby river to watch the elephants bathe and play around in water. 

After arrival at Kandy and direct proceed to Kandy City Tour. 

Visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - It is a world-renowned place of worship, where the left Canine tooth of Gautama Buddha is enshrined. 

Evening witness the Kandy Cultural Dance Performance. 

Arrival at hotel & check in.

After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya. 

Nuwara Eliya (City of Lights), The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations.It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions. 

Enroute visit Peradeniya botanical gardens and a tea factory plantation. 

Royal Botanical Gardens - 147 acres in extent: started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the King’s of Kandy. There are more than 5000 species of tree and plants. Some and endemic as well as flora from the tropical world. Spice garden and Orchid House are popular with Tourists. 

Free time for Leisure.

After breakfast check out & proceed to Bentota. (The City of the Golden Beaches) 

Visit Madhu River Cruise, Turtle Hatchery & Water Sports. 

Turtle Hatchery - Turtle Hatchery was started by the Sri Lankans with a view to protect the turtles from extinction. Earlier, usually fishermen used to collect the turtle’s eggs and sold it to whoever would pay the higher price. With the commencement of the Turtle Hatchery these eggs were fed and cared for until they were 2 to 4 years old. You can find different species of turtles such as Green Turtle, Leatherback and Olive Ridley. 

Arrival at hotel & check in.

Breakfast at the hotel and spend the day at leisure/ enjoy water sports. Return to hotel for dinner. Overnight stay at hotel. (Bentota)

After breakfast & hotel checkout & proceed to Colombo. 

If only time permits enjoy a city tour of Colombo. 

A drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. 

Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. 

Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and Independence Square. 

Afterwards proceed to airport for your scheduled flight.
